Central Technical Division
The Central Technical Division (Zentrale Technik – ZT) is the STRABAG Group’s specialist planning division, supporting projects in turnkey construction, structural and civil engineering, tunnelling, and transportation infrastructure. From acquisition to final commissioning, ZT provides expert guidance at every project stage.
ZT prioritises resource efficiency and sustainability, integrating cutting-edge solutions such as smart buildings and technical equipment. ZT is committed to innovative and sustainable design-to-production methods, contributing to the design of over 25 tunnelling projects worldwide in the last five years.
As the STRABAG Group's central resource of tunnelling expertise, ZT continues to set industry standards, delivering exceptional projects across the UK and across the world.
TPA - Quality Assurance
TPA Quality Assurance provides industry-leading services in materials technology with a specialised competence centre focusing on asphalt, concrete, earthworks, and geotechnical engineering, delivering expert support across the STRABAG Group.
As one of Europe’s largest private laboratory organisations, TPA offers a comprehensive consultancy service, providing specialist guidance on projects and quality assurance. Our team delivers statements and reports, and supports the investigation and resolution of project challenges, as well as leading the research and development of advanced construction methods and materials.
BMTI - Machines, Equipment, Material, Logistics
At STRABAG UK, we benefit from the expertise of BMTI, the STRABAG Group’s central division for international logistics and equipment.
BMTI provides comprehensive technical services, including the distribution, rental, maintenance, and overhaul of construction machinery and vehicles across the entire STRABAG Group. BMTI ensures access to reliable construction machines, specialist equipment, and systems.
The dedicated BMTI team oversees the rigorous maintenance and inspection of its machinery and plant. With over €7 billion worth of construction and logistics equipment, including more than 700 cranes, 2,200 wheel loaders, and 2,700 excavators, BMTI enhances STRABAG’s operational capabilities, ensuring compliance and exceptional project delivery.
STRABAG Infrastructure and Built Environment Investment Arm
The STRABAG infrastructure investments arm works in close collaboration with operating partners within the STRABAG Group, adding value throughout the project lifecycle, from development and financing to design and, if needed, long-term operation.
The STRABAG Public-Private Partnership (PPP) financing department provides a range of flexible solutions, including

ZÜBLIN Timber is at the forefront of sustainable construction, specialising in innovative timber frame and CLT (cross-laminated timber) buildings.

BIM 5D is a model-based planning method that optimises knowledge distribution within the design, build, and operation of construction projects. As a collaborative platform, it continuously captures and synchronises data, ensuring transparency and instant information sharing among stakeholders.

BIM 5D not only manages design and construction but also tracks time, cost, material use, and environmental impact, providing a consistent, comprehensive overview of project progress and performance. This, in turn, optimises material use, minimises waste, and allows us to track our environmental impact.
