STRABAG UK broadens specialist steelwork and infrastructure capabilities with acquisition of Crofton Engineering
STRABAG is delighted to announce today that they have finalised the acquisition of Crofton Engineering Limited, a specialist in structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, and fire training infrastructure, based in Linton, Cambridgeshire.
As part of STRABAG UK’s growth strategy, the integration of Crofton Engineering represents a significant step in strengthening capabilities within structural steelwork and architectural metalwork while also adding specialist expertise in full turnkey solutions for fire training buildings and training towers. Crofton Engineering has an incredible platform, that with STRABAG’s support and investment, can grow both its capability and scale.
Established in 1953, Crofton Engineering brings over 70 years of expertise in the fabrication, design, and installation of steel structures and metal fabrications. The company provides regional and international clients across diverse sectors, operating as a key steelwork sub-contractor.
The business will continue to operate from its existing premises in Linton under the Crofton name and retain the senior management team for continuity. Its strong reputation for health and safety, quality workmanship, and flexible delivery will strengthen STRABAG UK’s delivery of infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors.
