After earning a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Graz, Simon pursued a second master’s in Programme Construction Management, specialising in Civil Engineering and Business Economics. 

Shortly after completing his studies, Simon joined the STRABAG Group in 2006 and has been an integral part of the company ever since.

Before moving to the UK, Simon was Technical Director, developing a subsidiary of STRABAG in Italy, and led the €1.7bn motorway project connecting Meda to Vimercate, north of Milan.

Simon moved to the UK to establish and grow the STRABAG UK business and has been Technical Managing Director for STRABAG UK since 2020.

Under Simon’s leadership, STRABAG UK has enjoyed success and substantial growth. Co-Managing Director Andrew Dixon joined in 2021, and the development of STRABAG UK gained further momentum. The business became a Division of the STRABAG Group in 2025, strengthening its reputation as an industry leader in construction services.

With a strong passion for innovation and digitalisation, Simon strives to create a more sustainable industry. His ambition to grow the STRABAG UK business is supported by his dedication to mentoring and developing our people.
